Selected as one of twelve “young writers to watch” by The National Theatre, Katerina’s work was first developed under poet Inua Ellams, and performed in the NT Studio as part of Aftershocks.
Her next play, Valedictions, lead to mentorship by Toby Bruce, Development Exec at Dancing Ledge Productions. Her subsequent screenplay, The Gulf – based on her experience growing up in the Middle East during the First Gulf War – was longlisted by the BBC earlier this year.
Katerina previously trained as an actor (Arts Ed) and has performed at the Roundhouse, Arcola and Albany theatres as well as with theatre companies Shunt and Fuel.
Katerina’s story for Dusk, Threshold, will be read at Ynys Mon and Warkleigh.
