Diana Powell

Diana Powell was born and brought up in Llanelli, South Wales, and studied English at Aberystwyth University. Her short stories have featured in a number of competitions. She won the 2014 Penfro prize, and in 2016 was long-listed for the Sean O’Faolain, short-listed for the Over the Edge New Writer, and was a runner-up in the Cinnamon Press awards. Her work has been published in several journals and anthologies. Her novella Esther Bligh was published by Holland House Books in June. She now lives with her husband in beautiful Pembrokeshire, and is currently working on a new novel. Her collection of stories, ‘Trouble Crossing the Bridge’, is to be published at the end of the year, by the Blue Nib press.

Diana’s story for Time and Time, Solstice Shorts Festival 2019, Ballast, will be performed at Greenwich, Holyhead, Lisbon and Maryport and Sea Change will be performed at Greenwich and Holyhead. Both stories will be published in the Time and Tide anthology.
