Julian Bishop

Julian Bishop is a former television journalist living in North London who has  had a lifelong interest in ecology.  A former runner-up in the Ginkgo Prize for Eco Poetry, he’s also been shortlisted for the Bridport Poetry Prize and was longlisted in the 2020 National Poetry Competition.   His work has been published widely, from The Morning Star and Magma to Finished Creatures and The Alchemy Spoon.

Julian’s poem Slow Burn was performed at Arachne’s (online) Solstice Shorts Festival 2020, Tymes Goe by Turnes, and published in our anthology of the same name.  His poem The Undertaking is published in our 2021 Solstice Shorts anthology Words From the Brink.
