Catherine Okoronkwo, of Nigerian heritage, grew up in the Middle East and studied in the USA and UK. She holds an MA with distinction (2010) and PhD (2018) in Creative Writing. Her writing credits include: ‘The Killing’ and ‘Uncle Blessing’ published by Commonword in the anthology, Elevator Fiction (2016); ‘The Change’ published in the University of Chester anthology, Crossings Over (2017); ‘Rage Rises’ in the anthology, Black Lives Matter: Poems for a New World (ed. Ambrose Musiyiwa). Her debut collection of poetry, Blood and Water ọbara na mmiri, is published by Waterloo Press (2020). After teaching English at secondary and tertiary institutions for a decade, she now serves as a Church of England priest in the South-West.
