Emily Bullock worked in feature film production before taking an MA in creative writing at the University of East Anglia. She won the Bristol Short Story Prize and her stories have been included in many collections and broadcast on BBC Radio 4. Her debut novel, The Longest Fight was shortlisted for the Cross Sports Book Awards and listed in The Independent’s Paperbacks of the Year. She has a PhD from the Open University where she teaches creative writing. Her second novel, Inside the Beautiful Inside, will be published in autumn 2020. Emily has stories in Departures and Time and Tide. Her Time and Tide story Man Overboard was read at Lisbon, Portugal, on 21st December 2019 as part of the Solstice Shorts Festival. and we have since translated it into BSL – the video will be live soon!
