Angela Arnold’s poem, Walking With All Of It is set near Llanymynech, on the border, south of Oswestry.
I cleared a path along a disused overgrown railway line, discovering thickets of brambles in the process, and pruned growth back sufficiently to allow picking. I was soon joined by others who enjoyed both picking wild berries and walking their dogs along a lovely wild stretch, for years…till one day there were building site fences denying access and bulldozers flattening everything in sight. And no, they didn’t build homes there – someone just used it to dump stuff.
