Heather Lane was born in Cornwall and spent thirty years in Cambridge as an academic librarian and curator, writing poetry only sporadically. She now works as a consultant to the cultural heritage sector and lives in the Yorkshire Dales. She is a member of the Settle Sessions poetry group and is finding inspiration in the local landscape.
