Cath Holland

Cath Holland is a writer of fiction and fact based on Merseyside.

She has performed at, been published or had work broadcast by: Chester Literature Festival, Liverpool Everyman, The Reader at Calderstones, Royal Society Of Arts, Dead Ink Books, BBC Radio Merseyside, Mslexia Magazine, The Dark Outside, Bristol Flashwalk, Arachne Press, Fictive Dream, National Flash Fiction Day anthologies and more. She’s also appeared on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour talking about her writing. Her work is concerned with class, feminism, grief, and the loneliness of the modern age.

She has an MA in Creative Writing from Liverpool John Moores University.

Arachne have published Cath’s work a number of times, including Dance Where No One Watches, in Story Cities in 2019 work; The Dusk Runner (written as Cath Bore), which was published in Arachne’s 2018 Solstice Shorts anthology, Dusk, and was performed at Warkleigh and Ynys Mon, at Dusk on 21st December 2017; and her story, For Sale. One Planet. Well Worn., published in our 2021 Solstice Shorts anthology, Words From the Brink; and she has a story in Menopause: The Anthology
