Lisa is a storyteller and environmentalist based in Devon. An ecologist by training, she now divides her time between storytelling performances and managing environmental and wildlife projects. She draws on inspiration from her wildlife work and from traditions all over the world, to weave stories that talk of the land, and help to understand our complex relationship with it.

Lisa helps to lead two story groups, one in Totnes and one in Chagford, and can be found telling stories at nature reserves, festivals, schools, charity events and venues all over the South West. Her recent work includes stories for Dartmoor National Park, RSPB, Transition Totnes and Devon Wildlife Trust; story and landscape activities with primary schools in north Devon as part of Beaford Arts’ ‘Hidden Histories’ project; story walks and performance for The Plough Arts Torrington and Wolf&Water’s ‘Reverend on the River’ project; and running storytelling training for new storytellers on Dartmoor. She has also written a book “Botanical Folk Tales of Britain and Ireland,’ to be published by the History Press in spring 2018.
