Philip Hewitson is a writer, poet and film maker born and raised in Carlisle. He does films for Tolivar Productions, Film Fling festivals, hosts ‘SpeakEasy’ spoken word open mic nights and is one half of Caldew Press.

Philip’s film for Time and Time, Solstice Shorts Festival 2019, Open Water’ is an ode to the women who go wild swimming in the Lake District by Susan Cartwright-Smith.The film is a collaboration between them both and will be performed at Greenwich, and Maryport.
