Simon is a chartered engineer and works in the energy trading division of a large utility. He only started writing in the last few years and is still wondering what took him so long. Simon is a member of the Amsterdam Poetry Critique Group.

Simon describes his poem for The Other Side of Sleep, Orion, as: every night the great hunter tracks perfection and gets within a whisker of catching it… but never quite succeeds. Each night he must set out again, new with hope.
