Ness Owen

photo-ness2Ness Owen lives on the island of Ynys Mon where she writes plays, poetry and stories in between lecturing and farming. Her work has appeared in various journals including Poetry Wales, Red Poets, I, S & T, The Fat Damsel, Culture Matters and in anthologies published by Arachne Press, Three Drops Press, Here and Now project and Mother’s Milk Books.

Ness’s poem First Light was performed in Greenwich for Solstice Shorts: Shortest Day, and is in the anthology Shortest Day, Longest Night

Ness’s poem for Solstice Shorts: Dusk, Female Blackbird Sings, was performed at Holyhead, Ynys Mon, on 21st December and is in the anthology, Dusk.

Ness’s poem Left at the Cenotaph is in An Outbreak of Peace

Her poem, Moon Jellyfish will be performed at Noon at Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Carlisle, Ynys Mon and Cork on 21st December 2018 (that might be a record for simultaneous readings!)  and published in the Noon anthology on 21st March 2019

We are publishing Ness’s bilingual poetry collection Mamiaith in August 2019.
