Read an interview with Alex Smith about her forthcoming (only 23 days to go!!) novel Devilskein & Dearlove, at Teen Librarian, Matt Imrie’s excellent blog about Young Adult books.
In it, Alex talks about the filmic quality of the story, and her love of animation. Of course when the interview was done, I hadn’t told her we were planning a miniature animation as a trailer for the book. If you haven’t seen it yet you can find it here.

I think between us we’ve captured the feel of the book, which would make any reader from the age of nine to nine hundred happy to read, although it’s mainly aimed at 12-16 year-olds.
