We usually have our live events interpreted, when we have the funding to do so. In 2019 our Time and Tide Solstice Shorts Festival was in such remote places that we couldn’t get most of the events interpreted so instead we used the funds to pay for BSL translations instead. It’s a very different process, and as our translator, Marcel Hirshman, was working with a greenscreen I took it as a challenge to learn how to do that, and edited the videos tro include backgrounds, some of which are illustrations from the special edition of the Time and Tide anthology.

With Covid-19 restrictions preventing events on the ground, we got a little bit of funding from the Arts Council for some more BSL translations, this time of our eighth anniversary anthology, No Spider Harmed in the Making of this Book.
