Gregynog to the Gower Wildlife Hospital

Poet Rae Howells says of her A470 poem, Pipistrelle

It is about me driving a baby bat to a wildlife hospital. I had been on a residential course in Gregynog (while heavily pregnant), and the bat was found on a path suffering from heat stroke. We couldn’t find anywhere to take it locally so I ended up putting it in a box and driving it all the way home, partly on the A470, to the Gower wildlife hospital.
