Julie Laing is a writer and visual artist based in Glasgow. Her practice includes creative writing, photography and video.  She is interested in the interactions between these disciplines and her work often brings them together. Julie was shortlisted for the Jill Todd Photo Award in 2016 and was a runner-up in the Guardian/Sony Futurescapes short story competition in 2011.  She has had articles published in Media Education Journal and exhibited at several group shows.  She is also a lecturer in Media at a college.
