Paula Read

Paula Read started out as a journalist and subsequently trained as a languages teacher. She lives in London now, but has also lived in France and North America. She is serious about politics, family, dogs and gardening. Paula has published several short stories with Arachne Press and Momaya Press. Her first full-length non-fiction book, The Hazelnut Grove, about her cousin’s life in Italy is scheduled for publication in autumn this year by an imprint of Cinnamon Press. She is currently working on a non-fiction book, based on a memoir by Roland Chopard, who was deported from France to Germany to work as a forced labourer in World War II

Paula’s stories for Stations, All Change at Canonbury and Carrot Cake, are set in Canonbury and Honor Oak Park and concern an unexpected love affair, and the finding of contentment.
