This was one of the five Judges’ Favourites from the twelve prize-winning stories chosen by competition for inclusion in the festival, and available in book form (print and electronic) as Solstice Shorts: Sixteen Stories about Time
Read by the inimitable Carrie Cohen to an appreciative audience at the Royal Observatory Greenwich as part of the Solstice Shorts Festival
Coupled, if you’ll pardon the pun, with two songs that sum up the story,
Lerwick Lanes by Pepper & Shepherd, to match the joie de vivre
and John Anderson (by Robbie Burns) sung for us by Ian Kennedy and Sarah Lloyd, appropriately about love in older age.
Disclaimer from the signers they woud have been much better if we’d given them an opportunity to rehearse with the performers.
